1. You\u2019re Leaving the Filter in\nToo Long<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Did you know that you\u2019re supposed to change\nyour AC filter at least once every three months? If you use your system\nconstantly, you should actually change it even more often \u2014 maybe even as\nfrequently as once a month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dirty filters cause your system to work\nharder, meaning it uses up more energy and wears out faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That sunlight is bringing lots of heat with it\nand causing your system to work harder to cool your house.
